Terms and conditions for Class & 1:1 Services

Group Class Dog Training Service Agreement

Service Overview

Group classes are held at Wollaston Village Hall and include:

- Puppy Classes (up to 6 months) – Saturdays, 1 hour.

- Adolescence, Loose Lead Walking, Recall, Obedience & Gundog-Inspired Courses – various

times, 1 hour per class.

Full course details and class times are listed on our website and may vary. Each course runs for a set number of weeks with limited spaces (maximum 6 dogs) and is filled on a first-come, first-served basis.

All courses are led by qualified dog trainer Nikki Wilcox (hereafter referred to as "Trainer").

Eligibility Requirements

To attend group classes, all dogs must:

1. Be in good health with no contagious illnesses in the past 30 days.

2. Be fully vaccinated with proof provided before the first session.

3. Be non-aggressive and safe to work in a group environment.

The trainer reserves the right to refuse or remove any dog deemed unsuitable for a group setting.

Booking, Payment & Refunds

- Full payment is required at the time of booking to secure a place.

- Fees are non-refundable unless:

- The trainer cancels the course.

- The owner cancels with a minimum of 7 days' notice prior to the course start.

- No refunds or transfers are given for missed sessions.

Health and SafetyBy attending classes, the owner confirms that:

- Their dog is in good health, fully vaccinated, and free of contagious conditions.

- They understand there are inherent risks in dog training, including the possibility of illness, injury, or bites.

- They will supervise their dog at all times and follow safety instructions from the Trainer.

Training Commitment & Expectations

- Results depend on owner consistency, effort, and practice outside class.

- Techniques are science-backed and reward-based but require time and repetition.

- The Trainer provides guidance and support but cannot guarantee results.

Liability Waiver

The owner accepts full responsibility for:

- Their dog’s behaviour, interactions, and safety during class and afterward.

- Any injury, damage, or loss caused by their dog to people, animals, or property.

The Paw-sitive Experience, Trainer, and associated individuals are not liable for:

- Any incidents, injuries, or damages arising during or after training.

- Any pre-existing behaviour issues not disclosed prior to class.

Private 1:1 Dog Training Service Agreement

Service Overview

Each session typically lasts 60 minutes, but may be shorter if the dog is struggling with the length of the session. The number of sessions required will be discussed during the initial consultation and adjusted based on progress.

Eligibility Requirements

To participate in private 1:1 sessions, all dogs must:

1. Be in good health with no contagious illnesses in the past 30 days.

2. Be up to date on vaccinations or titre tested, with proof provided on request.

3. Be safe for the Trainer to handle and assess, with full disclosure of behavioural issues.

The trainer reserves the right to decline or discontinue services if a dog is deemed unsafe or unsuitable for the chosen training approach.

Booking, Payment & Refunds

Booking & Payment
- Full payment is required at the time of booking to secure your place.

- Payments are non-transferable between dogs or owners unless agreed in advance by the Trainer.

- Sessions must be booked directly with the Trainer and confirmed before attendance.

Cancellations & Rescheduling

- A minimum of 48 hours’ notice is required to cancel or reschedule a session.

- Cancellations made with less than 48 hours’ notice will be charged in full.

- If the Trainer needs to cancel a session due to unforeseen circumstances (e.g., illness, severe weather), the session will be rescheduled at no additionalcost.

Refunds

- Refunds are not available once sessions have commenced.

- If the client chooses not to complete a pre-paid block of sessions, no refund will be given.

- In exceptional circumstances (e.g., if the Trainer deems it unsafe or inappropriate to continue training), a partial refund may be issued at the Trainer’s discretion.

Health and Safety

By participating in training, the owner confirms their dog is in good health and poses no known risk to the Trainer, the public, or other animals.

The owner agrees to follow all safety advice and understands that they are responsible for managing their dog in all public and private settings.

The Trainer may terminate the session immediately if safety concerns arise.

Training Commitment & Expectations

- Training success depends on owner consistency and practice between sessions.

- Results are not guaranteed, particularly with behavioural issues that require time and management.- All training methods are reward-based and tailored to the individual dog.

- The Trainer will provide guidance and support but cannot control progress outside of sessions.

Liability Waiver

The owner assumes full responsibility for their dog’s behaviour during and after the training sessions.

The Paw-sitive Experience, Trainer, and any associated parties accept no liability for loss, damage, or injury to persons, property, or animals caused by the owner’s dog.

It is the owner's responsibility to maintain appropriate pet insurance or public liability cover if required.
